One Clayhead on Tour - Northumberland August/Sept 2011

A weeks holiday with the family to Northumberland. I managed to do a bit of a Bernie, and miss Pec Sand and WWB Tern while I was away, but it could have been far worse, as the legendary Bernie will tell you. The Pec Sand was quite harsh as we've been checking that scrape all year, thinking it looked good for something rare. Oh well, there's always the Autumn to look forward to.

A few pictures from my trip up north, firstly with birds seen around Holy Island.

An amazing number of Seals were present on the sand banks

When the crossing times weren't suitable to cross over to Holy Island, I visited Stag Rocks (wasting quite a bit of time looking for the reported Black Scoter) and Cocklawburn.
