I felt Boxing Day was the coldest day this winter so far. I arrived at Westport at 07-45hrs and it was -9.5C . The model boat lake only had a metre square patch of water left open and there sat two Coots and nine Khaki Campbells. Most amazingly of all, the Fowlea Brook was frozen in large stretches, someone that even Westport stalwart WJL can't even recall seeing before.
